Description
A family in Brookfield was moving from a smaller block and needed more space to grow. Their previous home didn't have room for a dedicated office, proper storage, or any real connection to the outdoors. They wanted a Hampton style home with custom joinery that felt built in, quality finishes that would last, and enough separation between living and sleeping zones without losing the flow. The 469m² block in a family friendly area close to schools gave them the space, but the layout had to make every metre count.
Gidaya Group designed this two storey home with storage and joinery built into the structure. A specialist craftsman created custom built ins that carry the same design language throughout: a window seat with integrated storage in the master bedroom, a butler's pantry off the kitchen, and joinery that feels embedded rather than added on. The ground floor opens directly onto a large alfresco through sliding doors, connecting the living zone to the outdoors for entertaining and daily use. A study near the entry provides a quiet workspace, while upstairs, four bedrooms and a retreat give the family room to spread out. The master suite includes a walk in robe, ensuite, and private balcony.
The exterior is clad in durable weatherboard with a simple pitched roof that sits comfortably in the neighbourhood. Inside, the palette is light and calm: white walls, quality fixtures, and joinery detailed to feel like part of the home. Double glazing and solid insulation keep the home comfortable year round. The result is a family home with space where it matters, custom details that work hard, and planning that supports everyday life.
